What people most often want to know before sending us their pieces.

Turnaround and timing

How long does care take?

Simple cleaning and conditioning is typically 5 to 7 days. Restoration work can be 10 to 15 days. Hermès or LV restoration on complex pieces can run 14 to 21 days. We give a specific timeline at assessment, and we honour it.

Do you offer same-day or rush service?

No. Precision takes time. If speed is the priority, there are many options in Bengaluru. We are not one of them.

Can you start work faster if I pay more?

No. Our practitioner works on one item at a time. Paying more does not move you forward in the queue.

Pickup and delivery

Do you offer pickup and delivery in Bengaluru?

Yes. We coordinate pickup and drop-off across Bengaluru. You choose a date and time slot, our logistics partner collects and returns.

Do you pick up from other cities?

Yes. Pan-India pickup is available from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, and most other cities. Your piece is insured in transit.

How is my item packaged for transit?

Padded packaging with protection around handles and hardware. We photograph the condition before and after transit as part of the record.

Can I drop off at the studio in Bengaluru?

Yes, by appointment. Mon to Sat, 10 AM to 6 PM. Studio address: Owners Court Layout, Hosa Road, Bengaluru.

What we work on

What kinds of pieces do you accept?

Bags, shoes, jackets, belts, wallets, and small leather goods in smooth leather, pebbled leather, suede, nubuck, and exotic skins. We also work on coated canvas pieces with leather trim (Louis Vuitton monogram, Goyard, etc.).

Do you work on synthetic or faux leather?

No. Our methods and products are formulated for genuine leather and will not produce good results on synthetic pieces.

Do you work on replicas?

No. We assess each piece at intake. If we believe a piece is a replica of a branded item, we decline politely and return the piece at no charge.

Can you work on damaged leather?

It depends on the nature and extent. Surface scratches, colour fading, and standard wear are often addressable. Torn leather, structural damage, or deep gouges may or may not be. We assess honestly. If restoration is not possible to our standard, we say so rather than return a poorly done result.

Which luxury brands do you have experience with?

Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Goyard, Coach, Burberry, and most European and Indian leather houses. If you are unsure whether your item is a fit, ask. We will tell you.

Pricing and payment

Why do you not show a fixed price per service?

Because leather care is too nuanced for a lookup table. A scratch could be an ₹800 buff or a ₹3,000 colour restoration depending on depth, leather type, and item condition. Only an expert looking at the actual photos and then the physical piece can give an honest quote.

Will the final price be higher than the initial estimate?

Sometimes. The estimate is our honest read from photos. The final quote can be higher or lower after in-person inspection. If higher, we explain exactly why. You can still decline and we return your piece at no charge.

How do I pay?

We prefer UPI (zero fees). After you approve the final quote, we send a KŌSA UPI QR code via WhatsApp. You scan and pay with any UPI app. If you need to pay by card or netbanking, we send a secure checkout link instead.

When do I pay?

Only after you have approved the final quote, which is only sent after in-person inspection. Never before.

Damage and guarantees

What if my piece looks different than expected after care?

We set expectations at the final quote stage. If we believe a piece will have colour shifts, texture changes, or incomplete stain removal, we tell you before starting. If a result is materially different from what we promised, we fix it at our cost. If we cannot fix it, we refund.

Do you have insurance on pieces in your care?

Yes. Pieces in our care are insured against damage and loss up to a reasonable market value. High-value pieces (Birkin, Kelly, rare LV, etc.) can be declared for higher coverage at intake.

What if my piece is damaged in transit?

Pickup and return transit is insured through our logistics partner. If damage occurs, we file the claim on your behalf.

Maintenance and storage

How should I store my leather piece between care sessions?

Away from direct sunlight, in a breathable dust bag, at stable humidity. Not in a plastic bag, not in a humid cupboard, not pressed against other items. We include specific guidance with every returned piece.

How often should I get my piece professionally cared for?

For pieces in regular use: once every 12 to 18 months. For pieces stored most of the year: check every 6 months and treat at signs of dryness, surface bloom, or discolouration. Preventive care is far cheaper than restoration.

Can I condition my piece at home between sessions?

We can recommend specific products for home use after seeing your piece. General-purpose commercial leather conditioners often do more harm than good, particularly on Hermès and LV vachetta.

Studio and appointments

Can I visit the studio before sending a piece?

Yes. Studio visits are available by appointment. We walk you through intake, explain what we do, and answer questions in person.

Can I watch the care process?

No. The work requires uninterrupted attention, and we work on one piece at a time. We send progress updates via WhatsApp while your piece is with us.
